GENESIS got its start in 1998 in the Incubator for Technological Entrepreneurship in Rehovot, Israel. With an international team of leading scientists GENESIS developed its core competency in the fields of photochemistry, polymers, advanced coatings and materials.

GENESIS was founded by Steven M. Johnson, a polymer scientist and graduate of the University of Akron, Ohio which has one of the world's leading polymer chemistry and polymer engineering programs. Akron's  broad based polymer related infrastructure provides an ideal environment for sustained technical and commercial development. The area is home to some of the world's leading centers for polymer research. GENESIS believes tomorrow's breakthroughs will be borne from today's partnerships and collaborations.
